StealFinch!

Big thanks to Carlisle over at Steal This Comic for this fantastic fill in piece!  Carlisle and I are web-comic brothers in arms. We started our careers around the same time and helped each other learn web design and comic-press (usually like this: “Carlisle, how did you figure out the code for that? Oh, very clever!  Send me that code and I’ll copy it,  yay for teamwork!”)  and we kept each other inspired to keep working on next week’s strips.  I can’t thank him enough.   Just hit the big button on the left to go to his website!

Webcomics Weekend part one

This past weekend I attended the first annual Webcomics Weekend in Northampton, Massachusetts.   It was put together by Meredith Gran from Octopus Pie, and her other collaborators, and was held in their building. I was able to talk with dozens of other web comic creators as well as some fans too. Best of all was meeting in person some of my fellow cartoonists especially Carlisle from Steal This Comic and Dawn from Zorphbert and Fred. I also met my new blog friend Casey Conan of Bargeek and another fellow cartoonist Chuck from Surviving Retail. It was a lot of fun to bat around comic ideas and exchange some sketches between rounds of strange New England beers and various foodstuffs.
Dawn was nice enough to lug around her laptop tablet so I could try out drawing digitally which was really scary and exciting and surprisingly fun. Also notable was finally meeting my partner in web comics, Carlisle, who drove an amazing distance to attend the event. Nice job, Pard!
