Ah, Captain Stubing, everyone’s favorite squirrel time travel buddy. You know in all these years I’ve never sat down and drawn a character study of Lil’ Stubing so I finally started one. Here is the result, it’s still not a full on proper character design sheet but it’s close. I finally have come up with some appropriate dimensions and general feel of him. Usually he was a bit of an afterthought because in most panels he’s drawn really small. Hopefully in the future I can use him a little more properly and devote some panel space to him seeing as how he’s become such an important character in the Bullfinch mythos.
I would like to thank Brock Heasley for the kind words he said about my departure from Superfogeys:Origins. Also the robust comments from the lovely readers over there because they’re so thoughtful and supportive of what we do. That was a really fun gig and ending on the Soviet Sam story was a nice way to go out. (Also we did a lot of stories with people crying. It’s a little weird in a humor comic) Soviet Sam was really a joint creative combination between Brock and myself and I love that I got to add someone to the great Superfogeys universe.
