Here are some recent KC sketches I’ve done in blue pencil and ink pen. I’m really happy to get KC and my other characters into a more animation style with some rounded 3d features. I’ve been researching a lot of different art styles lately and looking at a lot of art based magazines and websites to try to grow as an artist myself. Hopefully all of this will pay off primarily for Bullfinch but also in a freelance artist way down the road here. I’ve been toying with the idea of doing full page stories here like I do with Superfogeys:Origins. At the very least I’ll be staying half page and full color, but having more space for backgrounds and different shots is tempting. I’ll get a poll up here sooner or later.
I also ran the Utica Boilermaker yesterday and finished it in about an hour and sixteen minutes. I was pretty happy with it being kind of a casual runner. It’s 15k which works out to be about 9.3 miles. The temperature was good and it was sunny so it was comfortable up until mile 7 when it started to get hotter. Good stuff though and I believe I came in around 2,471 out of about 11,500 people. Which basically boils down to me being a pretty good casual runner because I wasn’t able to catch up to the Ethiopian guy who won it and ran it in about 45 minutes. So close too…
