For various reasons!
Here it is, my first top ten list of horror movies for Halloween.
1. The Thing- John Carpenter’s version. Kurt Russell and Wilford Brimley? It happened!
2. Humanoids from the Deep - Fantastically bad Roger corman horror movie from 1980.
3. Saw IV- Yes saw number four. As with most sequel sequels they degrade over time and twirl off into ridiculosity. Also Donnie Wahlberg gets his head smashed like a watermelon with blocks of ice! Really!
4. Werewolf- Or Arizona Werewolf. One of the worst movies ever, period, horror or otherwise. Hilarious.
5. Bug- A Bradford Dillman classic.
6. From Dusk Til Dawn- This movie transforms from a crime drama with a Tarantino flair ( and the real Tarantino as an actor.) halfway through into a cheesy Vampire movie. Uh-huh.
7. Silent Night Deadly Night – Yep, Punish. A kid scared of Santa Claus grows up to be a murderous Santa Claus.
8. Black Christmas- A horror classic starring Margo Kidder. Aaaand the real killer might be a cat! Check it out and tell me I’m wrong.
9. Phantasm- Very funny movie that makes no sense. Plus I almost used the character Reg in a comic once.
10. Evil Dead 2 – At one point a woman was raped by a tree. By . . . A . . .Tree.
