Is this really a movie? I don’t know, the half a million in special effects probably qualifies as so, but otherwise it’s a bit simplistic. Conan had a simple plot , and that’s a damn fine movie. For some reason 10K BC just seems kind of sterile. The main characters move from one extreme environment to the next with little to no interruption in between which seems kind of strange and abrupt. Like a video game. The characters are OK but not enough depth to keep me interested. Neat looking CGI mammoths and predators are fun for awhile but the crude wooden spears get boring quickly. I would add a spoiler warning but I figure everyone can pretty much guess the story quickly enough with a prior background of cinema experience. Yeah, she dies-oh wait not really!
